I have a 96 gst.everytime I put any blinker on I can hear my fuel pump pulsing synchronously with my fuel pump.does anybody else have this problem is this normal. Do I have a weak ground or power can I just add a capacitor somewhere. Thanks in advance any advice appreciated.

I've done the rewire with a relay and I took it off because when I would shut the car off it would stay stumbling for a few seconds

I think I wired it correctly I got the signal wire coming from ecu to power up the coil and just ran positive from batt to the relay lever.

Does anybody have a specific wiring diagram for the rewire so I can double check

Its not an issue, everyone's does it regardless of rewire. Probably the only way to fix it is to install a capacitor to control the voltage swing but its really not enough of an issue to do that since I haven't heard anyone doing it. If you add a capacitor though be ready for a possible longer crank time so be aware of that.

Longer crank time what about when shutting off will I still get the stumbling effect

+1 for fuel pump relay. 12v relay mod is the best mod ever. I wire tons of cars every week for swaps and it is the most reliable way for tuning without getting complicated.

The fuel pump rewire is necessary for proper voltage to feed those larger pumps. The rewire should reduce the variance in voltage by providing a direct voltage source (battery). I would revisit how you did your rewire. Some testing with a multi-meter should benefit you. Here is a post from another member on here that should help with wiring. Credit goes to Gofer.

Even though the GS-T and GSX have different wiring going to the fuel pump the rewire is the same, depending on your car just follow the diagrams below. If you can't tell by the diagrams below where the wires tap into the relay heres a quick list.
  • #30 (blue wire) - feed wire from battery.
  • #87A (red wire) - NOT USED.
  • #87 (yellow wire) - when cutting stock 12V pump wire, this is to the pump side.
  • #86 (black wire) - when cutting stock 12V pump wire, this is to the car side.
  • #85 (white wire) - chassis ground.
