ive had some issues with my fuel pump lately and now im stuck. the wire on the inside of the fuel pump got smashed and i replaced it, but i snapped the bolt off trying to put the wire back on. the next the thing i did was solder it on the connection. i took it for a drive and it came off again. so then i decided to just drill a hole and put a bolt through there. i pulled the outside connection off out of the small circular connection and put an eyelet on it and then around the bolt. i put it all together and now the fuel pump wont come on. did i do something wrong? what should i do now? thanks

Have you checked the fuses?

It's a very good place to start:thumb:

There's some on the positive battery connection.

And, a dedicated fuel pump fuse inside the car, in the fuse/relay box under the left side of the dash.

Let's start there.

i found a 30amp fuse blown in the interior fuse box. its the one on the top far right fuse. can someone confirm that that is the dedicated fuel pump fuse just to make sure? i have to rewire the power connection again and replace that fuse and see what happens.

i checked all the fuses and replaced the 30amp fuse that was blown and the fuel pump still wont come on. what should i look at next??

now i found out that the fuel pump isnt getting any power. where do i go from there?

well we just rewire the fuel pump to a switch and a relay and now the pump works and kicks on and everything, butthe motor wont come on. it will come on for a split second and then shut off. i have no idea why its doing that. anybody got anything?

yeah it means you aren't getting enough fuel to keep the motor running..
my car was down for a month while i tryed to figure out why i wasn't getting fuel.
here is my suggestion:
remove the fuel feed line from the fuel rail. get a clear bottle and insert the fuel feed into the bottle.
crank the car over. the bottle should fill up pretty quickly.. have you made sure your actual fuel pump is good??
