Just like it reads i have a 255 lph pump . Its sounds completely normal until i push the gas maybe 10% and the it goes from making a steady strong sound to going wa wa wa wa wa........... So far i have added 5 new grounds to the engine and a extra power cable to the starter. I have not been able to drive it yet. But if you have experienced this before or have some ideas please help. I just cannot get a decent tune.

The fuel pump has already been rewired? I did drive it and the new grounds still have not helped but i did notice a change the wa wa wa is much faster. I am going to wire a bigger wire to the power side of the alternator. I also am going to add a new ground wire to the alternator. But i need a wiring diagram so i can figure out power from grounds.

Well update ! The battery died and its brand new. For some reason the alternator is not fully charging my battery? Its not getting the voltage back? So i guess i will pull the alternator off and have it checked. This will be my third alternator? Should i rewire the alternator? If so does anyone no of a good thread for that? There is a alternator relay what does this do? Anyone?

Test the voltage at the pump with the car running, if you get a fluctuating voltage you'll know the Alternator/Charging System is the problem and not the fuel pump.

The 2Gs Alternator field is controlled by the ecu, the 1Gs I believe have a normal always on setup.

Make sure your Alt. has a good ground.

Has info on how to move the Reference Voltage wire to a new location, sometimes the voltage drop between the Alt. and battery will be enough that you don't get full charging voltage.

This has been resolved it was a bad alternator. I upgraded the wiring to 6 gauge and also grounded the alternator. All 1g alternators should be grounded. Mine was not! Also check to see if your power steering pump or water pipe seals above the alternator are sealed well if they are not then they could be leaking directly into your alternator. Thus murdering it.
