where is the fuel pump?

Where is the fuel pump in my car? I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI. I thought it mite be under the little door with what looks like a plug going into it next to the spare tire

On a 1g it's on the drivers side. OP you are correct.

Its on the drivers side, not passenger side. Need take off a plate with two screws. Plate held in with some strong black sealing goop, not sure how describe. Need pry it off to gain access. Here is direct link to it in VFAQ. Walbro 1G fuel pump kit install
