So i'm wanting to install a walbro 225 fuel pump in my spyder gs, the fuel pump is shot and I need a new one so I figured I would go performance, instead of oe. Well do I need to do the fuel pump rewire, or drop it straight in, and do i need to get an adjustable fpr, I am not looking to run rich, and waste gas. What psi should i set the fpr at? This is new territory for me so all extra info is more than gladly welcomed.

unless your modding the car why not put a stock unit in? oe is fine if your stock to lightly modded.

with 255 you will need and afpr you set it at 43.5 psi how you do this is install everything start up the car unhook the vacume line and plug the vacume line with your finger then adjust the regulator with the adjustment screw on the top on the regulator

a rewire kit is not required but always recommended it allows for better flowing due to having more voltage at the fuel pump

Are you boosted? if not you DO NOT need a 255 get a evo 9 fuel pump alot cheaper and not as noisy.

A evo 9 fuel pump with a stock 2g fuel pressure regulator is all you need unless you build your engine and slap a big turbo on.

A evo 9 pump can be had for 30-50 bucks.

EDIT:
The stock fuel pressure regulator is most likely the same as i tuned with it on dsmlink and never noticed any difference from switching to the 2g turbo fpr.

Just get a walbro 190 or a used evo pump. You will spend 150 on a regulator than an other 50-100 bucks on fittings and lines just to install the regulator. You will gain nothing from the walbro 255 or regulator so it is a waste of time and money to even consider.

Yup, evo 9 fuel pump should be enough or a walbro 190. Unless you want to be smoking evos and sti's a 255 will be a little too much.
