i have a 2.5" megan cat back system and was looking at putting megan downpipe on. the down pipe is 3" just wondering if my cat back would bolt directly on or what. and also i just got a tubo xs boost controller, 550cc injectors, MAF translator kit, obx FMIC still using stock turbo. just wondering if the walbro 190 would work or should i go with the 225. thanks. and here is the link for the down pipe im looking at getting. if ti helps at all.

Megan Racing Stainless Steel Down Pipe Eclipse/Talon 4G63 - Megan Racing - Downpipes - Exhaust - 89-99 Turbo 4G63 - Mitsubishi - CI Motorsports

that down pipe will work it will bolt rite to the cat also suggest gutting the cat while your down there... as for the fuel pump it depends on what kind power your trying to achive if all your gonna run is 550cc injectors than 190 if upgrade to like 750cc or higher recommend 255lb

thanks. i was actually trieing to get rid of the cat. i was under the imperssion that the down pipe cut the cat out of the equasion.

no not at all bud it just replaces your stock downpipe you can just beat the guts out of the cat and it is the same as deleting it just gotta remember it takes time i beat the guts out of my cat and it was not easy you need a metal something to do it wood works it just gets dull after a minute and once you get the (ROD) through wiggle it around side to side alot so it gets the sides so you have an actual test pipe

but i hope this helps

yeah thanks i considered that but think im just gonna go with a test pipe. and the walbro 190 post pics as soon as project complete.....

The answer to the fuel pump question depends on which turbo you plan on getting. If your turbo requires the 255 (not 225) and bigger injectors, then you'll need them along with an AFPR.

Last time I checked, the Megan downpipes were cat eliminator downpipes, meaning they get rid of the cat. Maybe the 2G GST downpipes are different than the 2G AWD ones?!

so does the down pipe cut out the cat or not. i dont want to buy a test pipe for nothing. if anyone can give me a solid yes or no that would be great. but thanks for all the input.

im still using the stock 14b "looking to push aroun 15-16psi" but will be upgrading to the big 16g in a few weeks. i still plan on sticking with the 550cc and pushing around the same boost with the 16g. will the 190 work good with that set up.

downpipe does not cut the cat out

i promise you that just buy a test pipe and ALOT OF PB PENETRATOR BLAST or LIQUID WRENCH

LOTS!!!!!!!!!

once all that is good go with it

For a 2G or 1G?

Yes it will work for your setup, the 190 is good for about 400whp.

Check the vendor announcement section, I believe a vendor is having a sale on Megan Racing products, you may get the part cheaper through him than on eBay.

I'm running the Megan downpipe on my 2g and its definitely cat eliminator style. Also you'll have a hell of a time bolting up to your stock O2 housing.

You can get either one. Cat deleted or not. Also on the fuel pump always go bigger its better. The more you flow the less it has to work. Besides who knows you might want to get 500hp latter on. So better too do it once than twice.
