Fuel pump causing grinding noise? Video.

When I first got my car I noticed a grinding noise. Could only hear it in the car but under the hood I didnt hear anything. I belive I have found what is making this noise. First understand it IS NOT coming from the fuelpump area under the back seat. I can bump the starter and that noise comes and only stops when the ecu cycles off about 1 second later. I belive the sound is ciming from the fuel rail area. I tried jumping the fuel pump test terminal and all I get is a clicking sound and the door buzzer. Now that clicking sound seems to be coming from under the intake manifold. As you can hear that grinding noise in the video, when its running it makes that noise all the time. First on is on the inside second one is on the outside.

you could take a broom handle, holf it to your ear and touch it on fpr, fuel filter, etc. you should be able to really tell where this noise is coming from exactly

Ok I straight wired it to the pump so i could hear it with the engine off. The sound seems to be coming from the return line by the firewall. So I took the line off the fpr to see how the gas is coming out. Its coming out with full force steady stream. So im thinking my fpr is not holding the pressure it should. That noise must be from the fuel flowing so fast in the return. That could also explain my random power loss. Never seen a fpr loose its ability to hold pressure tho.

The SX performance FRP I got from a friend for free has a bad diaphram so I know they can go bad. The noise could be fuel moving past the diaphram.
You think maybe the starter isin't disengagine and that is your noise? Just a longshot guess but it sounds like a bad starter to me.

Not the starter. Today I ran a wire to the back where the fuel pump is and put it to the battery. Its quiet for about 3 seconds the it starts. Its a roaring noise. I ordered the stm fuel return kit. Also today I instaled a sunpro boost gauge. I have the bcs restrictor removed. It jumps to a bout 17 psi and rapidly bleeds to about 14 psi. Car is all stock except for a weld on rear muffler and a cone filter. Both was on the car when I got it. Seems a little high to be stock. or is it just the sunpro gauge sucks. I only got it because that the only one they had in stock.
