i have a 2g eclipse and my cel came on and prompted me the code for the fuel pressure solenoid. Where is that located? Is it the same or near the Fuel Pressure Regulator? Any help on where its located or any links on how to fix or replace it would be great! Thanks everyone!

Usually the code will come up if it's been unplugged. Anyway, here's a pic of the FPR solenoid. I used to have it on the intake manifold for a shorter vacuum route. I've put it back on the firewall, though, because I upgraded my fuel system and don't need it anymore. The FPR solenoid is used mainly to evaporate the fumes in the fuel line as well as assist in holding pressure for startup. If & when you upgrade your fuel pump to something such as a Walbro 255LPH FP, you won't need the FPR solenoid vacuum lines anymore but it will need to be plugged in to eliminate the chance of a CEL.

I know this is an old thread, but are you saying that once you get an afpr and fuel pump that you should remove the fuel pressure solenoid. I am about to install my afpr and I will be taking out the stock fuel pressure regulator, but should I take out the solenoid too???

he is saying that you can eliminate the vaccuum lines, the 3 on the fuel pressure solenoid. not the solenoid itself. eliminate and plug the vacuum lines and do whatever you want with the solenoid, as long as you leave the electrical connector plugged in.
