I have a 91 eagle talon tsi with a 255 walsboro in it, while its idleing I will get a bit of bogging almost like its trying to push to much gas in and not having the ability to do so. I talked to this kid who has a 94 model and he was saying the manual fuel pressure regulator is something like 39 psi coming in and with the 255 its pushing more fuel quicker so it doing what I said above. he told me to get the automatic fuel pressure regulator off of another talon because the automatic version is like 43 psi. I did that today at pick a part before I actually change it just making sure what he told me was true and my cars already running a bit rich is that going to make it run more rich.

Thanks Josh

its true that the automatic ones are at 43 psi but even with that, the walbro 255 is to powerful for the stock fpr. You can downgrade to a walbro 190 and use the stock fpr or upgrade your fpr to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

thanks guys for the quick response. manual to answer the question. and I will probably upgrade the regulator then rather not downgrade the fuel pump seems like it would be more work and eventually I am going to more power so its going to need to be there in the long run. plus I am about to rebuild my head since my head gasket blew out on me so doing the fuel regluator at the same time wont hurt any. do you have any suggestions on what type to get currently running stock 4g63t only upgrade are 3 inch exhaust back the walsboro fuel pump and hbc and aftermarket boost gauge. also to save myself from posting another thread any type of cams you would recomend? also stock injectors currently going up to 750s I think when I get a evo 3 or garrett 3t 4t

Thanks again for the help Josh

You can get an aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator. That will probably be your best bet on that. The most common type of cams are 272 Brian crower cams. Also, may I make a suggestion, after you get and install your afpr, you should rewire your fuel pump. The more power to your fuel pump, the more flow it will have.

Amen brother. also you should take a look at delta regrinds . they are great cams for the price. but dont go to big without a spring upgrade. just a thought

I have the Aeromotive A1000 AFPR with Extreme PSI's install kit and it works great. I'd highly recommend it.

thanks again guys, I looked into the aeromotive one seen a couple on ebay and actual sites that didnt look to bad only 220 and under so def something I plan on getting soon. just looked into the bc cams had looked at them previously just wasn't real sure about them but from the sounds of it def positive feedback. on a side note I was looking at the 272 and saw on ebay the 280s stage 3 are 400 however i read on the bc website that they require a tune and a built engine which when I am done my head will be built but block won't be just due to it taking more work and more money.

Thanks for your time and help again
