I have my throttle body off and all electrical components around the intake maniflod unplugged.

I forgot to relieve the fuel pressure before I started and just now realized it.

Is there any other way to relieve the pressure before I take the fuel rail off?

If I don't relieve the pressure won't fuel spray out of the injectors when I take them off?

As long as you don't have any bare wires touching any metal, all you would need to do is go into your cars back seat. Take the seat out and take the plate covering the fuel pump off. Unplug the fuel pump, then crank the car a couple of times (key in the ignition) and the fuel pressure will be relieved. :thumb: Again make sure the things you unplugged will not ground out the electrical system.

Get a rag and wrap it loosly around the rail feed or return fitting and just crack the fitting loose. The pressure will release itself and the rags will catch the gas.

If you just crack the fitting lose it will not shoot out like a fire hydrant.

Can't do that, car is apart.

Cool, thanks.

Edit....

I took the return line off first with a towel. There wasn't a hole lot that came out of the line. Then when I pulled the injectors out.... even less fuel drip.....worked great.
