I was wondering if it would be ok to upgrade my FPR and Fuel pump before I start my turbo swap. I basically want to do the swap in steps. Would installing an FPR and fuel pump on my n/t right now hurt anything? I'd be using an Aeromotive FPR and Walbro 255 Fuel pump. I'd also like to install 550ccs as well.
 
This is actually the correct way to do things in my opinion. I think you would be ok on the pump and FPR if they were installed at the same time and ran stock pressure. Hold off on the 550s until you get some type of fuel control. Do you have a logger for tuning? It will tell all. I think a wideband would be a good idea for this kind of swap though.
 
Yeah, I'd keep the stock pressure at 37.5psi. I do use a logger, I have MMCd on my Palm IIIC to monitor my timing and such. I think I will wait off on the 550s for now, thanks for the quick response.
 
I should retain the stock fuel pressure according to non-turbo specifications until I fully finish the turbo swap correct? Meaning 37 - 39 psi with vacuum hose attached?
 
So what are you turboing? antother car, because your car description says you already have a turbo car.

No you set the base fuel pressure with the vacuum hose disconnected and plugged :thumb:
