Its leaking from the fuel line fitting from the drivers side of fuel rail to FPR. Ive tightened it as much as I can and it still drips every 10 seconds. How do I fix it?

Another unrelated question, I cant seem to get my BOV to vent, the valve isnt opening causing the dreaded psh-psh-psh-psh noise, it has good vacuum to it, tial bov atmospheric. Thanks

Just fix it! If you need to replace the O-ring, or if there's a gouge in one of the sealing surfaces, open it up, look at it, identify the problem, and solve it. Simple right?

If the BOV doesn't open, fix that too. If you apply vacuum to it with a vacuum pump. and it doesn't work, open it up and see what's wrong. It's about as complicated as a toilet plunger, so if you can't figure it out, just take it to a shop, or a grown up.

Hope this helps. :thumb:

Its leaking from the threaded part and its aftermarket. Could I undo the power supply to my fuel pump and turn it over a little to clear the lines? And i took apart the bov already (spring launched the top half to my face ouch) and cleaned it out. Can i safely use wd40 on it?

I assume you have an aftermarket afpr? Does it have push-lock -an fittings, or is it ss -an? Is it leaking from the line it self or from where it threads to the fuel rail?

Im not sure what kind of fitting it is

Not sure if this is going to work but this is the fpr, its leaking around the purple part on the right of fpr

Ya that will relieve the fuel pressure. But you will likely still have some leakage when you remove the line from the afpr, so have a rag handy.

Is that a real aeromotive or a knockoff? Did you install it yourself?

Okay going to do that now. And also the coolant sending unit for the guage is on the right side of radiator hose cap right? Also trying to pin point why my guage isnt working. Oh also i have a 6bolt swap

This link should help you with the temp sending unit. There is a pic part way down, easier to see than explain.

As for the fuel problem, remove the leaking purple fitting and make sure there is an o-ring on it. If not or if the threads are damaged, you can buy a replacement one from here. It is the -6an male to male union.

Also You should make a bracket to hold your Afpr in place, its not good to have it just hanging there.

Okay thanks I see the area its supposed to be in im assuming there are wires running from it correct? I dont see anything maybe ill have to dig in deeper.

And I have removed my bov and am going to clean it, I have a stiff spring in there, from my experience ive used 9lbs and from what I vaguely remember, wasnt no where near as stiff as this current one. Can you tell feom the picture roughly what the sprig is rated for?

Oh and Ive made a bracket for it at work already, from the picture it looks as if its floating there but its actualy bolted to the firewall

Wow... this makes my head hurt :/

Take your car to the shop, so that someone who knows what they are looking for/at can fix it.

Im determined to do this myself, might aswell learn now, because im bound to repeat the same problem one day. It cant be that hard. And the headache I can relate, afterall I am the one dealing with it. Everythig is rewired, relocated and ghetto rigged from the previous owner. Its a bigger mess than rosie O'Donnell and laxatives. Hell even the damn headlights and tailights are rewired, reason being? Dont ask me I have but the slightest clue. :banghead:

Ouch:ohdamn: Gotta hate fixing other people's nightmare jobs..
Good luck with it.. take your time and fix one thing at a time.

I hear ya about the stupid re-wiring of the lights.. previous owner did the same thing to mine, because it had HID's in it at one point :banghead:

Ya there should be wires running from the wiring harness to the sensor.
Do you have a Haynes manual? If not I would highly suggest buying one. It has just about everything you will need to know about your car. Between that and these forums you should be able to get your car back where it should be.

I could find the sensir, well I think I did but couldnt get to it. However, I broke the glass on the gauge and twisted the needle to the other side back to 0degrees and it seems to be working now. Although before the coolant temp never went past 95C now it hits 100C. Maybe thats accurate afterall I did just flush the radiator to change my thermostat and didnt put a lot of coolant in it, like 80/20. Everything is working great, bov works too except for a little surge on low boost and sometimes the valve is delayed. But the fuel line still leaks, and its not coming from the male to male connector it appears to be pooling from the male to femal connector on the fuel line itself. Tightened it as much as I could and it doesnt do it as much now

I would suggest getting a new temp sensor gauge as well as making sure it is wired up properly. It can cause you a lot of problems not knowing whether or not your car is overheating. Also I would buy this to solve your fuel leak once and for all; because it is a major fire hazard...

Also here are a couple videos of how to install an Afpr, including how to put -an fittings on ss braided line (which can be kind of tricky if you don't know what your doing). All credit goes to jjrock5 for the great instructional videos.

Didn't see the question about your Tial BOV answered, but I know that the spring you run in your Tial Bov depends on the amount of vaccum you run at idle, so check here to make sure you're running the right colored spring, good luck:

Ah thanks, I believe I have a plain colored spring in mine. I however took it apart and oil up everything, cleaned it and it works properly now, somewhat. anything under 3500 rpm it makes the psh-psh-psh-psh noise while anything over I get the sexiest sound a car could ever make, just pure bliss. Lol

R u sure its not crossed theaded or missing o ring? If it is fix may need to tap if crossed threded.

Oh I already fixed the issue the oring was torn I haven't had any leaks since then, right now I'm dealing with that same fuel line, different problem. It needs to be.replaced. Thanks though
