Ok, so I have searched and found a somewhat of a fix about changing the frequency of it, and calibrating the fuel gauge. My question is what is the true way to fix the fuel gauge? Mine is funny, sometimes it will drop fast, and other times it will drop slow, it will be below E, but still have around 5 gallons of gas left. Would replacing the sender fix this? My gas tank has no dent either. Thanks.

If your other gauges are acting okay then I suspect your gauge cluster is okay, so it's far easier to check the fuel level sender first.

The stock fuel level sender is actually very easy to check with a ohm meter: you check the electrical resistance of the sender as it moves through the range. You can get a multi-meter for well under $20 from a Radio Shack or Harbor Freight Tools. (You don't need industrial-accuracy meters to check the fuel level sender) You'll need to check against the FSM for the resistance range of the fuel sender.

You'll have to remove the rear seat bottom (which comes out as you pull on the two tabs you see) and take out the fuel pump+sender assembly from the gas tank (make sure you work in a well ventilated area and away from flames or people who smoke!). Take the typical safety precautions and you can check the sender well within an hour.
