Fuel Gauge in Dashbboard not working!

in my 2gen gsx the fuel gauge in my dashboard that tells me how much gas i have isn't working right. i took out the dash kit and looked if the needle is broken but it isn't. i have no idea whats wrong.
 
Completely stopped, or balky, or what? Check at your sender (under the back seat cushion, pull those two handles toward the front and the cushion lifts right off [the handles stay on the car]) and your sender's right there. Look for loose or broken wires. The float can also be oriented so that it drags against the side of the tank.
