So I stripped the connection from the fuel line to the fuel filter. In my defense it was pretty badly stripped to begin with I just finished messing it up. So I wanted suggestions from people who know what they are doing. Is it possible for me to swap out the line without taking out my engine? Or is there anything else I can do? I'm pretty worried because I'm not sure if with all the pressure I applied to the line trying to break it loose, the integrity of the connection to the filter has been compromised. I have a 94 GS 2.0. any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at this thread all the way through. This is what I'd do if my hardline broke or has been compromised anywhere before the fuel filter. Good upgrade too when switching out fuel systems. I'd go -10an but a lot of guys just go -8an or even -an.

Should work the same way for N/T applications just maybe a different route since 420a's are backwards

I just got done fixing my fuel filter fitting niughtmare. My threaded fitting also got striped and I kinked the hardline.

You can double flare the hardline with a double flaring tool after putting a new fitting on the hardline, or you can run a whole new flexable line with AN fittings like I did from the pump to filter.

I'll post the link of a site that has the new fitting

EDIT- I lost the link in my messages for the new fitting, I think I found it on summit racing. Here are my threads that I posted if you want to take a look: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/426140-fuel-line-help-hardline-short-bent.html
