I bought some new connectors for my fuel injectors since one of the old ones fell off. The problem I am having is I can't figure out how to hook the damn wire up. I have it through the grommet and plug housing but can't figure out how to get the little metal piece to stay on the end of the wire.. am I missing something? Please help I am working on this right now and am getting super frustrated with myself.

That's extremely odd. Are you saying that the HARNESS to one of your injectors fell or broke off?? Can you post pictures so that we can clearly see your problem? Have you tried to solder the two together?

Well it turns out I am just retarded and wasn't crimping the new connector parts on properly so I apologize.

To elaborate a little more since you are curious. I was driving the car for a while, turned it off, when I turned it on it was running on 3 cylinders and I got the bad injector CEL. So I got the car home and in the process of taking off the little connectors to check the resistance on the injectors I noticed that one of the wires was covered by a piece of vacuum line. Being curious I took it off and saw a very frayed wire. When I disconnected it the connector pretty much fell off into my hand. So I figure that it was shorting out and eventually caused the injector to go bad as well.

Just finished installing new injectors and new connectors then took it for a drive and everything is working great now. Runs better than it ever has. (well since I rescued it from that crack head in December). This could be because one of the injectors was bad and another one was missing the little plastic piece thats on the spraying end (nozzle?) and probably was leaking air in. Thank you for trying to help and next time I will step back and take a breath before I ask questions on here about things that I can figure out if i just have patience.

Ohh gotcha! I'm glad that you figured it out. Everyone has their "dohhh" moments LOL. Yeah, that "lower piece" is the lower isolator/insulator for the injector. Like you said, it was probably creating a small leak if it wasn't present. Was the hack job on the injector wiring from the previous owner? It's a good thing that you discovered it now instead of later.

Yeah I bought the car in December from a tweaker looking ricer in San Bernardino and have since been more or less doing all to maintenance and fixing all of his retarded hack jobs that he neglected to take care of. I found probably 30 feet or wires that weren't attached to anything, the injector wiring issue, 3 different kinds kinds of spark plugs in it as well as a variety of plug wires, a "kill switch" that was horribly and dangerously wired and mounted right out in the open and actually labeled on and off so that was pointless. So as you can tell it has been an adventure but also a valuable learning experience. :hmm:

Oh wow, talk about an adventure indeed. You're the second person I've heard who has mentioned discovering extra, unnecessary wire! LOL @ the kill switch though. I can imagine your "wtf" when you saw it already hahaha.
