fuel injector install issue

Before I break something.....I have some fic 1150s, have the new rubber rings on the bottom, they will not go in tight, the injectors will either fall over when trying to put the fuel rail on or the will pop out of the lower seal. I'm pushing pretty hard on them.

Make sure you lubricated the upper O-rings before you installed them into the rail. I neglected to and had a puddle of 93 on my intake manifold from the #2 injector due to a tear in the O-ring. And it's not a commonly found o-ring, either.

I may be wrong on this, but the lower seal doesn't go completely into the head. My install method was to put the injectors into the rail and slide the rail down until the lower seals pushed into the openings, then started tightening down on the 3 bolts. So far, this has worked fairly well. Someone else may chime in if they have another method that works.

For my PTE 1000's I installed them into the rail first. I had the injector seals on the injecotrs. Then I just put the rail on the head and started the three fuel rail bolts. Then I Lined up all the injectors and tightened the bolts some and made sure they were still lined up. Then tightened the bolts down.
