This is a problem I've been dealing with for more than 2 years now. I'm not EXTREMELY knowlegable on cars so I have been through a lot of things to get rid of the problem. From a new clutch, to new injectors, SAFC, Missing Link and i still can't seem to fix the problem.

The car was turbocharged by a small company. Then they went out of business and I had no one to help me with it. Here's the specs.

1999 Eclipse RS
-Super 16G turbo from Hahn Racecraft
-manifold from Hahn racecraft
-450cc injectors
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-Holley 4:1 adjustable fmu
-stock, narrowband o2 sensor - autometer narrowband a/f gauge
-missing link
-greddy type-s bov

Ok, when I first got the car back from getting the turbo kit installed, it ran great. No matter what gear I was in, no matter what rpm I was at, it knew how to respond to any amount of throttle I gave it and it was smooth as could be. After the first month, some fuel delivery problems start.

Now in the higher gears (3,4,5) when I apply throttle, the only response is all turbo and not much out of the engine. The turbo spools really loud and the damn car just doesn't increase speed much at all. It just doesn't seem to get any power in these gears unless full throttle is applied at higher than 4500 rpms.

Fuel response in the lower gears is good, but isn't reliable unless she's at wot. 40%-90% throttle in the lower gears is just unpredictable, sometimes the engine responds to the turbo like it should and sometimes it's all turbo and no engine again.

A solution to this problem on the highway at cruising speeds was to drop to 3rd where there was already a lot of engine power at high rpms, and give her 100% throttle. It would go lean for just a couple of seconds but then go over to rich.

According to the narrowband a/f gauge, everytime this happens the car is going lean, and that's what it seems like just by feel. The turbo spools but the car just doesn't go anywhere.
