Turbo whine issue? maybe

First off, I don't know why it looks like this was filmed with a screwdriver as it was on an iphone, but anyway....

Its an evo 3 with a fp68hta, built engine blah blah blah has everything but a tune. (Stock psi, 10lbs)
It whines from 5800 rpm and up. No boost creep or leak. If I slowly make my way through the rev range it doesn't whine.

How broken am I????????

If there's no shaft play, it's likely that you have a boost leak somewhere near the compressor cover....like the o-ring behind the cover, or the j-pipe gasket.

Just checked, and there is zero shaft play.
