fuel cut when cold

Hello, long time lurker first time poster. I recently picked up a 99 GSX that is pretty stock, it just has a 3in turbo back, a supra side mount, UICP and a MBC. I noticed that when I first start driving for the day when I get into boost at about 5k its like hitting a wall. I'll let the car warm up before I leave the house but its always like this in second gear. After driving the car for a bit it goes away? Is the temperature affecting the air flow this much or am I going down the wrong path with the cars temp being a factor.

Sounds more like a boost leak. Metal expands when warm/hot. And contracts when cold.

well if you have ngk brp7's or 8's in it you cant really do any boosted in it till the car warms up

Ill look for a boost leak in the morning and maybe pull the plugs just to see what kind are in there. Thanks for the help.
