Hello, just bought myself a 98 Eclipse Spyder GST, there are only 3 of that cars in whole Belgium, so here it is unique, what I wanna ask is: how many miles or km can you drive with a full tank, and how much liter do you tank then???

thanx

well theres a million factors involved on your milage, but the average for people seems to be over 300 miles per tank.

so if this converter is right thats at least 483 km unless something is wrong with your car. I think I get about 350ish per tank, some say they are in the 400's.

have a clean air filter, new fuel filter, and keep the oil good and it should be up there.

edit: oh and the liters, im not sure how much my car can hold exactly gallons wise, but when my fuel light is on, thats supposedly 2.1 gallons left, put in 20 bucks worth and get about 10 more gallons, and im pretty up by full.

so we'll say at least 13 gallons, and thats about 49.2 liters of gas.

does the fuel meter drop evenly?? because with my previous eclipse ( a 97 GS non turbo), the fuel meter didn't drop after 60-70mile, and then the lower the meter came, the faster it went down, understand my question????

The gas gauges in DSMs are terrible. The capacity of the tank is 16.9 gallons, but no one I've heard of has gotten much more than 14 gallons in. Usual mileage with a turbo is about 21 miles per gallon, and maybe 300 miles per tank.

You guys thought metric was a good idea, so I'll leave the conversions to you.

to bad it seems more like we are the only ones who didnt think metrics was a good idea : /

and im not sure what you were asking about the gauge. if you mean something like, it stays on full, then starts to go down, then at about half it lowers really fast, then yea thats common

edit: defiant....boo on the new sig! I like the old one better!

Au contraire, the American Standard of Measurement will be the Metric System. By Decree of Congress, September of 1967. However, I guess something happened.... or, didn't. Meanwhile, we have people like GM who choose 16mm for a distributor hold-down nut, a size not used for ANYTHING until that point in history.

At least it ain't Whitworth.

The snow, or the Douglas?

Apologies for the hijack.

if i drive the way i like to, boosting all the time, i get 220miles to a tank or so, and about 20miles per gallon.. but i decided to see what i'd get for mpg if i didn't drive like that, and if i shift around 3.5k and only boost to pass a car, i get 38mpg!!! isn't that crazy? i was shocked.

on a side-note.. i always like defiant's sigs.. this one has those nuclear towers in the background (.. i think that's what those are)
very cool ;)
gotta say i didn't like the one next to the plane though, i like seeing that defiant's car looks exactly like mine ;)
:p

i get like 16.25 miles per gallon. and i dont drive mine very hard at all. but that was when i was venting the BOV, i have since recirculated. and havent had enough money to fill her up and test it! about 270 miles to a 15.9 gallon tank. (i am pretty sure it is 15.9 gallon)
