I will be getting my T28 soon and wanted to know if I put in just a 190 lph fuel pump can I run around 20 psi safely without injectors or a fuel controller? What do I need to do to run that much boost or around there without any fuel controllers or injectors? Also which side mount intercoolers have you guys had success with or "like" best? :dsm: :thumb:

Or maybe some type of ECU upgrade. Thanks!

To run a T28 at 20psi, you will need at least 550cc injectors - the stock injectors will not be able to deliver enough fuel and you will run lean. You will also need some type of fuel control for these larger injectors to run properly. If you keep your boost down to 13-14 psi or less, then you can get away with the stock injectors.

I've heard good things about the Dejontools sidemount as well as Hahn Racecraft's sidemount.

the Supra SMIC is definitely worth consideration. Its a good upgrade from the stock sidemount and its easy on the wallet too. :thumb:

I do not want to run any type of fuel controller or injectors, so that is out. What about a ECU upgrade? How much boost would I be able to run, 14-15? Thanks for the input on the intercoolers. I really just want to run more boost safely but without the injectors or the fuel controller. Will a fuel pump and a ECU upgrade be ok? Thanks guys.

Honestly, I don't think there is a way to run 20psi "safely" without some sort of fuel control... 14-15psi? maybe, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you "really just want to run more boost safely but without the injectors or the fuel controller" then you are SOL. If you don't want to upgrade those 2 parts of your car, stick with stock boost levels. Like the saying goes, "if you want to play, you gotta pay".

*edit* I noticed that you don't have a BOV in your current mod list. Since you're lacking that 1 part, there's no point in cranking the boost up anyway because your stock BOV leaks after about 13 psi. Get a BOV and you can maybe run 15psi...But I'd still get a datalogger just to be absolutely sure that 15psi was safe.

The second you go super lean your engine go boom.

Why don't you want to run a fuel controller? Scared of the temptation to mess with things? At any rate you won't be able to run more than 14-15psi without hitting fuel cut. If you are totally against a fuel controller then I would suggest getting a Jeff O chip and some 550's. You'll need a 95 EPROM ECU though, they're not real cheap. That and a Supra SMIC will give you a decent power increase. The times on my profile were run on nearly that same setup.

Thanks fellas. I will look into the chip and I will change my BOV when I get my new side mount. Thanks for all the help people.
