I need to get this problem salved because I just bought a Big 16G form slowboy. I am haveing a FTRL problem I have a walburo 255 and 650cc injectors and my ecu is chipped to handle them. Onley after I installed the 255 and put a camand flow FPR I know the command flow is not the right one to rase my fuel pressure at a 1:1 and I am over running it. If I turn psi past 15 around 5900-6100rpms it studders (like fuel cut but not as hard core) on up to 7500rpm onley at WOT. As much as I adjust the FPR it dosent seem to help. Does this only have to do with my fuel pressure reulator being wrong or is it because im running lean, I logged it and my FTRL was at 139 witch is almost maxed out and that my car is haveing to add 39% more fule than normal. My spark plugs are white on then ends witch shows im also running lean. Now my questons are. #1 Am I running lean because of my shitty fuel pressure regulator?
#2 If so how could I ritchen it up buy Not adding on a SAFC.
#3 Would my stock FPR do a better job than the command flow(till I have cash for a spendy one).?
I am more woried about my FTRL because my brother melted #6 cylender and the rings, had oil all over. From to much boost and not enough fuel to match on his 300zxtt.

THanks for any help in advace!!!!!!!:talon: :talon: :talon:

What are your other trims and when did you do your last boost leak test?
White plugs don't always mean your lean, just that they are hot enough to burn off any deposits. My 6ES plugs always came out white and I know I wasn't running leaner than normal. (whenever the car is in closed loop it's at 14.7:1)

This is confusing. The problem with the Command Flow is that it won't allow you to DECREASE base pressure, which is usually the reason the stock one is swapped for aftermarket. The bucking seems like it could be caused by too much fuel, especially since its not violent like fuel cut. Access to a wideband would tell you exactly what your issue is....lean or rich.

All other trims are at 100. I have no boost leaks I checked around two weeks ago. I have no experince with a wide band could you tell me how to use it? ware to get one? What it does? I do know it has to do with the o2?

A wideband will not be your most practical solution at the moment. You should do a search for it, but I'll give a brief description. Instead of using a 0-1V signal like the stock 02 sensor, it reads the air/fuel ratio in a 0-5V signal. This translate to a sensor that has 5 times the accuracy. It will basically give you an actual air/fuel reading. Some common brands are Zeitronix, PLX, Innovative, and AEM. I have the Zeitronix unit. It seems okay, but I have heard PLX are the most accurate. Hope that gives a rough idea of what it is.

How would an exhaust leek make me run lean? Im not douting im just wondering. Because when an o2 senser is not working properley because lack of exhaust cycleling through, it goes into ritch mode so it dosent burn up. Ill look over all my turbo gaskets, when my new turbo comes.

How exactly? What's the vacuum reading at idle? what is the mafs reading at idle? What is your fuel pressure at idle.

The fuel trim problem could be as simple as not enough deadtime programmed into your chip for your injectors.

The stuttering is usually caused by some ignition problem like bad plug gap, or wires but
I've also seen a lot of misfiring at high RPM from ECUs with bad power supplies.

WOw yeah my dead time has been messd with and I never turned up the boost untill latley. Hell, we are sapos to get a big snow storm so ill park her in the gerouge and burn a new chip with stock dead time. And see if it helps. Just got brand new NGks gaped at .28. My wires are farly new as well.

I just put a GM MAFT in My car and it has never ran better I guess I was over runing the stock Maf. I would of never guesd and now I can tune to richen it up at idle once my fuel trims start moving around again(just reset my ecu)
