FRONT motor/transmission mount inner diameter bigger than mount bolt?

this thread is the closest i found in search, but never got answered:

I've got a 2g FWD turbo and I'm convinced the front motor/trans mount is not the right one.. The inner diameter is several mm thicker than the bolt that holds it in.

What motor mount do I have?
Can I use a 1G FWD front motor mount? (do they have smaller inner diameter?)
Is there a proper urethane SOLID 2g front motor mount (not those stupid inserts?!)

anybody have a 2g front motor/transmission mount/bolt picture for reference?

Thats how the front motor mount is, the bolt is definitely smaller than the motor mount hole allowing lots of wiggle room. Below is a link to a set of solid motor mounts, they are more expensive than the inserts though.

You are definitely looking at the right bolt that goes through that front motor mount, thats just how it is.

If you have a concern im sure you can just unbolt the transmission perch and drill the holes bigger and get a bigger bolt. However that may make it a royal bi*** to get out when you have to pull the motor. Im sure its designed that way for ease of getting the motor out or changing that mount. You need that wiggle room to get that bolt out when there is some weight on it, trust me.
