My car equipped with the "7 Speaker premium sound Infiniti" sound system. I have two in the rear, two in the side panels, and two in the front dash on top. Where the 7th one lies God only Knows...or maybe its only 6 but besides that....I think the 2 on the dash are blown cuz I get no sound from them...but to remove those speakers do I have to take of the dash to get to them?? Or is there another way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

they just pop out. try sticking a screw driver under thereand pry up gently and they should just pop right out.
good luck. :thumb:

I read some old brochures from around 98 or so and I think they said with that system there should be a subwoofer. I don't know for myself, I've never seen the Infiniti sub that its supposed to come with. It's probably crap anyways. Car manufacturers buy the name brand names and just use watered down versions of what they should be.

STOP!
before you pull them, did you replace the factory head unit or is the amp missing?
if you did then most likely your problem is that the amp has not been bypassed. pluging in to the harness behind the radio will only get the door and rear speakers to work, but not the dash ones.
the dash tweeters are powered byy the infinity amp, no head or no amp means no tweets unless you bypass them.

I'm picking up my car in less than a week, by monday I can post the colors for each speaker on the infinity amp plug.

Just hoping this might save you some effort.

THats interesting you say...I am not too familiar when it comes to car audio stuff...I currently have a Kenwood KVT-910 which is an in dash DVD player....factory amp was removed so I dont have that anymore. I plan on getting some sort of 4 channel amp so that I can maybe run all 6 speakers with, Is there some write up somewhere I can look on how to hook an amp up maybe...

The only way to get those speakers to work is to either by-pass the amp as said earlier or to buy the adapter that allows you to use the factory amp along with an aftermarket head unit.

If you by-pass the amp you will be running all 6 speakers from your head-unit though and I'm not sure how good that would be....especially sending all frequencies to your dash speakers. I would think you could blow those dash speakers pretty quickly by sending low frequencies to them.

I'm not sure how the amp works for that.... I'm assuming that there is some kind of x-over so that the small dash speakers were not recieving the low frequencies from the factory but I could be wrong about that.
