From T25 to Evo3 16g and tune

What's up guys!

Need your help with this build

1997 GST 5 speed, T25 (stock)
I have Boost Controler, 2.5" Exhaust, AEM Wideband, AEM Boost Gauge/Controler, GReddy BOV

On the side (not in the car)
Evo3 16g, FMIC, catch can.
Want: 650 or 750cc dont know yet, Walbro 255.

Some guy say want to put all in my car and tune (without dsmlink, safc2 or another thing) .... don't know how can he going to do that.

That's my question guys: It is any way to tune without all those things? or maybe the guy just go in low boost until I'll buy any of it.
And DSMLink V3 is the best way to make tune? $550 is not in my budget now.

Just run the turbo for now until you get some kind of logger or tuner.
Run 10psi, it should be fine but not all dsm are created equal. I'm running 12psi fine minus the fuel mods for now. I just log the car to make sure it's safe.
Some members I met here at the local drags are running 16g, 550 injectors, tuned on safc II doing 13's and their cars are fine. But like I said... not all dsm's are created equal.

How am I wrong? He has a 97 so he will either have to buy a EPROM ecu or get a flashable ecu 98-99 or convert his current ecu to EPROM.

Thats weird, I have a 97 and it has a flashable ecu...

It's been swapped at some point then. Only 98-99 came with flashable black boxes from the factory.

It sounded like you were saying that there is only one option, my bad. I was trying to point out that you can flash the 95-96 EPROM ECU's virtually the same way as you would with the 98-99 ECU's.

I'm pretty sure this is just a case of some odd wording on your part... .

But, just to be clear hear since a few people have mis-stated so far

You Can NOT Flash any Ecu's as said above a few times an in the post above besides these Factory Ecu's

From Ceddy's site

Production Dates -> 7/97-5/98

FWD Ecu Part # -> MD346675
FWD ROM Id -> EM2055

All DSM Turbo Ecus are compatible Flash wise.
A 98 ROM can be Flashed to a 99 Ecu, and vice versa.
Also a GST ROM can be Flashed to a GSX ECU, and vise versa.

98-99 Spyder Ecus are compatible Flash wise.
The only hardware difference with the Spyder Ecus, is the Fuel Pump Pin.
The Spyders output +5v to turn on the Fuel Pump Module.
While the DSM pull +12v to ground to turn on the Fuel Pump Relay.

Testing so far has revealed that all Ecus with the same PCB Code are compatible, Flash wise.

These ECU'S are a EEPROM Ecu and have a flash memory that can be reprogrammed Via a Openport 2.0.

Only they can be flashed.

Only 95 Eprom Ecu's can be programmed via another method whether it be Socketing and removing the stock chip and Reprogramming a Eprom chip to Replace the Factoy coded one or Replacing it with DSM/ECMlink

As well an as said the 96-97 Ecu's can be Converted to Eprom with a daughterboad from ECMlink Seen here and can be Purchased here.

Last note late 97 Ecu's where a crossover year and are not flash-able. But can be logged at a much faster rate via Mut III unlike the earliy ODB II cars that used MUToverODBII and was much slower...
