Ever since I got my first car, a 98 Rs, I've been bit by the dsm bug. When I found out they came turbo-awd I just needed to have one. Fast forward 4 years and 15 different cars(5 Dsm's, 5 VW's, and 3 awd A4's and 2 Awd A6's) I finally got a 98 gsx early this year. It was bone stock with 150k miles driven by a woman. I thought I finally found my dream car. While searching for parts for it, I found a 99 gsx 5 hours away. PO got hit with a lawsuit and needed the money.
Here's the thread I started asking about it. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/403870-99-gsx-2-3l-stroker-value.html

I bought it, but kept it at the PO house for a couple months until he started complaining. So I dragged it a mile to a storage company. A month later I towed it home.

So far I've been working on it weekends and whenever I have the time. I got a good deal on a HX-35 on ebay.

Some better wheels. The 19x7.5 wasn't my cup of tea, so I went with some 18x8.5's ADR's.

And decided to experiment with a black lip (I was just too lazy to sand the whole thing)

The intercooler was from a member in Washington state. Luckily I had family that lived a town over from him, and one of them is a trucker
less than a week later I had my intercooler. I can personally vouch for the quality done at SBR. It was slightly warped(1/2") from an accident and took 2 tons to bend it back. I also added a third mounting point. (go ahead laugh at my welds)

That almost brings it up to date. On friday I found a girl parting out her spyder. Apparently her front passenger tire blew and it thew her into the curb at 45mph. It bent the rear suspention and snapped the front knuckle down by the ball joints. 1.5 hour drive one way and I finally I can get rid of that horrid body kit.

Over the weekend I installed my cruise delete cable, and took the head off. A light rebuild will follow. The evap system has already been removed by the PO.

Keeping it freshly sealed

I have a few thing's left to do until I'm done with stage 1. That's to get rid of the rice and just get it driving. I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the year.
Stage 2 will be the forged 2.3l 6 bolt swap, and I've decided to keep the 2g head. That's also be when I'll start with the suspension and more performance mods.
