fpr reading 44 psi with stock pump

my fpr is 44psi with the hose off, with the stock pump. i do have 510 in there. i have tried 4 different fpr. all around the same readings. and i have tried 2 gauges.

37 or 38 psi is stock for a 1st gen 5sp. Is your FPR adj? If so, adjust is down a few psi. Is there a problem w/ your car? Is it not idling or running right?

i pretty sure its 37psi with the hose off.

no its a stock fpr and my car runs, idles fine.

Are you absolutely positively 100% sure you have a stock pump without any doubt what so ever?

Ok then, I guess it's time to look into afpr.

Or if your having no problems whatsoever, don't worry about it. Do you have anything to monitor Air/Fuel ratio? Are you running rich at idle or very rich at WOT? If not, then leave it. Every car is a little different and if its been running 44 psi its whole life w/ no prob's then let it be.

If the cars running fine, then why are you worrying so much about base fuel pres?

Hold up, I just noticed this. Are you checking the fuel pressure because you're running rich? What are you tuning the 510s with? Nothing I suspect?

i have a safc, but the problem is i cant get it to stop knocking at higher rpms.

How much psi are you running with the stock pump, 510s and 7psi above the stock fuel pressure? If you have more things to add to your profile please do so, will make things much easier.
