FP Rewire

I am just wondering if I need to do the FP rewire on my 255lph (high press). I have an evo III 16g that I just installed, and I just installed the FP. I have not driven it yet, b/c I am rebuilding the motor. It should be up and running in a couple weeks and am wondering if I should do this while it is down.

No way. Your unwired 255hp is already overkilled to hell.

Get a Fuel Presure Regulator first, then rewire your fuel pump.

explain to me why someone would need a rewired 255 high pressure pump on a 16g car.

I am not saying that he "NEEDS" to rewire his fuel pump. All I am saying is that it would not hurt anything and only could help him if he rewired is fuel pump WITH A FUEL PRESURE REGULATOR.

How in the world will this help him? If a 190 will take a 50trim with no problem, explain to me how a rewired high pressure 255 will in anyway have a chance of helping him on his 16g car.

i'm with ease on this one! fuel is a key factor in making power, no matter what turbo you have! i do agree before you do this mod i would get a fpr! when i used to run my big 16g, i had a full fuel system with -6 lines and it didn't hurt me one bit!

Thanks guys, I kinda though that w/o a fpr I would not need to do that. I plan on getting a fpr but am low on cash right now.

yea man from my knowledge the 255 overrides the stock fuel pressure regulator....me personally i have the big 16g and im fully rich at WOT.......stock fuel pressure should be around 43psi...and from what i read the 255 can raise that pressure 10-20% more (correct me if im wrong, sorry) thus adding excess fuel....get fpr set that down to bout 43psi and u should be straight

rewire is totally unneccesary on your setup ... hell a 255 is overkill on a 16g imo.
