I'm thinking of getting the FP manifold. My question is what is the benefit of porting the manifold? Is it worth the $95?

Well there are many mods on the way and most likely FP black turbo. But for now I need a manifold so that I can port match the head while it's being rebuilt. What mods are done engine wise. And I suggest you put them in your profile as well.
Good point. However, in my experience temporary solutions become permanent and if try to change them then stuff goes wrong.I was in the same boat a few months back, trying to decide if I should get the porting on the FP. I was leaning towards yes, but then I came across a ported Evo3 manifold for super cheap and had to jump on it. I know the FP flows better than the Evo3, but in my case, I just needed something to hold me over until I upgrade to twin-scroll on my HX35.
So, in conclusion, I would say, if you plan on keeping this same set-up for a long while, then yes, I would go all out, porting, ceramic coating, all that stuff on the FP. BUT, if you just need something temporary like a place holder, then just go as cheap as you can.
