FP Manifold Set Tap for External WG??

Im getting ready for a 50trim setup & plan to run External WG and decided i wanted to do the Manifold mount. Ive read that mounting from the collector is the best choice over the #1 Runner for equal exhaust gas, But seeing how the I have the FP Manifold and its kinda tricky to tap from collector, i wanted to know if anyone has anyone done it? or is it best to just do it from the #1Runner/o2 Housing WG??

FP manifold is desgined for an o2 mounted EWG.

...well i know that... but ppl set up the stock 2g manifold for External WG's, i just wanna see if anyone did it with the FP one? rather than paying $200+ for an o2 housing w/ EWG

Doing the external gate on runner 1 isn't going to make a difference if it's an FP manifold, evo manifold, or stock 2g manifold. Same concept. As for trying to get it on the collector, well, that's just plain hard to do given the way the FP manifold is casted and engine bay space limitation. To be honest, the pain, frustration, and labor that has to go to converting an FP manifold to external, you're better off going o2 or with a different type of manifold.

IC, yea i guess ill just go with o2 external, just wanted to see if anyone has done it...

Well, innovation always starts with a question. I think that most are hesitant to even screw with the engineering of the FP manifold because they outwardly claimed that these were designed specifically with the use of the FP turbine housing, which mounts the wastegate on the turbine housing. Either way, so long as you set up your mount correctly, o2 or manifold should work perfectly fine.
