FP manifold question

I bought a FP race manifold and installed it on my 2g GST. I notice some smoke coming off the manifold when I started it up. I haven't driven the car yet. I was just wondering if this is normal and it will go away or I need a new gasket? I replaced the head to manifold gasket, I didn't replace the turbo to manifold gasket cause it didn't have any miles on it and it still looked good. I was thinking since the manifold is new, it might just be burning off the oil they cover the manifold in.

Bingo! My Evo smoked pretty thick when I first started her up.

It's pretty normal. Take it for a spin. Burn off the stuff. I just put mine on. It changed the exhaust note at WOT, but for the better. I love it now.

Yep, totally normal. Everytime I have the manifold off and put it back on, it'll smoke for a few miles. All the greases and oils from your hands or whatever got on it when it was off will burn off. Nothing out of the ordinary.

After it warms up retighten the manifold. To make sure you get no leaks

Smoke is normal for a new manifold.
