I have a HRC ported and powdercoated 2g manifold and was wondering if this would work with an FP3052 ... I have tried on numerous occasions to contact FP in the past few days, with no luck ..... anyone know for sure???

another thing, where should I get the 02 housing and should the Tial 38mm be fine for prodominantly street driving at 18-20 psi??

thanks in advance

Wes

The manifold will work just fine, the o2 housing is different from any other DSM one, just get one from FP with the turbo.

Your wastegate should be fine also.

No, the FP housing isn't flanged for *ANYTHING*. They weld a flange on depending on the WG you choose.

They normally weld on the 40mm, but you can get it with any flange you want. I.E. Tial 46mm/38mm.

Check this pic, you can see the weld, and the heat marks from the TIG:

They have changed it since then...

They are now held on with a v-clamp. :thumb:

let me know what you think

the fp30 turbos will not bolt directly to a turbonetics manifold.

In order:

ImageTT: that pic shows the heat marks and weld from the v-band flange to the housing.

Talonpower, not possible, you need to run a 38mm Tial. Also, you'll need to have the FP30 built with a true Garrett exhaust housing, since that's the manifold you have.

Liquid, you can get them built that way, the DSM-flanged FP30 doesn't fit, but they can use a Garrett 4 bolt style housing on the FP30.

Why would you want to. The FP turbine housing was designed from the ground up specifically for a 2.0L dsm application using the 84 trim gt30 TW.

Well, primarily since he already has a garrett manifold, and *garrett* designed their 4-bolt TH to work with their turbine wheel.

I'm not knocking the FP TH, it's a work of art, and there will be a FP3065 on my 92, make no mistake... However, if he doesn't have to waste another $225ish on a new manifold, more power to him.

It all comes down to personal preference.

Talonpower, call FP, and talk to those guys. They will know what to do, though I know the Garrett manifold will work.

I just ordered mine and I just got everything from FP. Like the 40mm wastegate, and the o2 housing. I'm bolting it up to my EVO3 manifold.

BTW: What do you mean by you had your manifold powercoated? Did you mean Ceramic coated?
