It's about the same from every thing ive read, it may spool tiny tiny bit faster but it out flows it by 5-6 lbs/min

Plus, with the majority of the users of this site being blue-collar, you are less apt to find people running the more exotic BB turbos more frequently than the standard bearing 50-trim family.

Case in point, this is why I chimed in with the GT35R thing. I got to witness first hand what it will do. I have never seen any of the other turbos in question, so I can't say much about them.

Besides, you know that BB CHRA are the coolest thing since, well turbos by themselves, so why not get a t3 hotside 3076 and run it?

I think I`m sold on the AGP3076R ... I'd go with the FP3052 but I`d rather be running a full garrett setup, besides - they're basically the same turbo's.

Not to bring this back from the dead, but have you taken a look at the PTE GT30r? It too is the 76 trim . . . I'm personally going to be putting one of these in (hopefully) within the next week or two . . . so hope all works out.

Unfortunately I will be running LOW-LOW boost for a bit until I can get my fuel system up to par and a FMIC

Incorrect. The PTE gt3076 is an 84trim hotside .63 a/r. I've had both a PTE scm50, and a PTE gt30r. If you are going the 3076/3052 route, get a full garrett or a FP3052. The PTE turbine housings are just too small for the gt30 series turbine wheels. Ask nate about using the PTE turbine housings, he saw a very large jump in power after switching to a full garrett. Id suggest a .82 a/r garret, or the FP30 series turbine housing wich is a 9cm housing.

And the 3076 IS the FP3052, just different turbine housing.

So I`m at a time when I`m looking to upgrade my turbo (AGP L2R). At first the good ol' 50trim looked appealing, alot of people having success, showing nice dyno numbers, good on pump, etc. The AGPL2R in itself is NOT the greatest turbo, it has terrible spool time, very low flow numbers, and just doesn't perform the way it should. Please don't start flame wars about my tuning because it has been proven many times.

My personal experience was that I had a l2r and converted to the AGP 50 trim full garrett setup.

L2R spooled no later than 4k or so (mid-high 3000's probably). 50 trim spooled a little slower, boost came on smoother. I think I went like a couple mph faster, but I can't remember if I made any other changes.

No arguing here, just hate for you to unload a bunch of cash and be dissappointed. Changing to another turbo that's almost the same size isn't going to turn your car into a beast. At least it didn't for me.

Third time around for me was a 2.4L w/ FP3065. Now that'll rock your world.

right now I'm doing the 30R on the 2 liter, but that is indefintly my prospective future setup

once this car gets retired from daily driving the 2.4 is looking fine.
