Fourth gear not holding??????

Check the shifter cables. Misadjusted cables may prevent the shifter arms to travel their full range so will not be fully engaged in certain gears.

If this does not do it it's likely you'll need new syncronizers for the tranny.

a local guy had a problem kind of like this... i don't remember if it was his synchros or a shift fork. regardless, have a couple of reputable places check it out, assuming the clutch install doesn't fix it (cables and whatnot)

a buddy of mine had that happen to his second gear. it would just pop out at any rpm..

his synros when bad, had to get the tranny rebuilt
