For all you guys missing your upper timing cover

So after extensive research for a replacement upper timing cover that doesn't cost 60 dollars i made a discovery. Dorman makes a replacement for the hyundai, 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0. It is identical to the 1g cover, and here's the kicker. They are 15 bucks brand new from rockauto.com. Here is a link from dormans site Dorman Products - 635-811 and a picture of the cover

I wasn't 100 percent sure where to post this, but this information could help a lot of you guys in the future that need one of these.

Nice find! I was just talking to another former dsmer last night who was getting rid of his stock parts bin and we got to talking about what would happen when stock parts are not available for these cars anymore. After reading this post I wonder what other factory parts are interchangeable from other cars eagle/plymouth/hyundai? I don't see myself ever getting rid of my 1g so I may have to start stockpiling some parts now just in case I may need them later.

Nice digging! Who said that saying about digging a hole deeper .... guess they didn't need parts.

I became a member on an evo site so I could research what parts might work for dsm's. Maybe I need to look into the hyundai sites too! Thanks for the heads up.
