My 2g Eclipse keeps on fogging up every time the engine reaches warm temperature even during warm days, but worst on cold days that I cannot see in front of me at night and have to constantly wiping the windshield. I've purchased the car this way. I believe that the original owner might have remove the heaters/AC ducts for weight reduction or other reasons. I can see smoke coming out of the side vents and the vents for the windshields. If I block the vents with tape it will prevent it from foggging up, but I don't like them being taped. Has anyone have this problem? I don't want to take out the dashboard to see if the ducts are missing or not, unless it's necessary or I know for sure that the cause of it is there's no ducts. TIA!

If you can see smoke coming out it sounds like your heater core may be leaking. Also, it sounds like your blend doors aren't working properly either. You should pressure test your cooling system to see if you have a pinhole in your heater core. I have no a/c in mine, and i can keep it defrosted if i have the heat on 3/4 or full easily.
