Yeah, i was looking for hours and couldn't find mine, then i looked in the Haynes manual, and found them in 30 seconds ROFL

i have a ? i have a 1g talon and i was wondering why my fog lights dont stay on, when i push the button they turn on but the button doesnt stay in it pops back out into the off position if i hold the button the lights stay on any ideas anybody please help me out i'm new to dsm's

If it pops out as soon as you press it in you need a new button/switch. Due to fact the little spring inside of the button is breaken(actually the plastic inside breaks causing the spring not to catch on the nitch to to keep the circuit open). Junk yard, pick one up from there or you can go the the dealership and get one.:thumb:

thanx 1 more ? how do i take it out is it easy or time consuming please if you can give me detailed instructions i'm new to dsm's so i'm a little slow but i will pick it up thanx so much

There are six screws that hold that part of the dash on. 2 on either side of the bottom of the steering wheel. 2 directly above those above the gauges and 2 on the right side of the steering wheel under the removable vertical plastic piece. Removing these will allow you to remove that piece of dash. The 3 switches have short connectors so disconnect them. Then there are a couple screws that hold that small cluster in from the inside.

That may sound complicated, but once you find the screws you should be able to have it all off in under 5 minutes. It helps to lower the steering wheel via the tilt level and have the automatic seatbelt in the retracted position and unbuckled.

On the bottom of the fog lights there is a plate with 3 screws, take that off and the bulb will be right there.

I wish it was that easy.Maybe if you happen to have some stubby large handled super small phillips but I could not get to those screws and have never heard of anyone that can.Also...the Haynes manual was absolutly useless when it came to the foglights on my 97.

With the plastic cover off the bumper there should be ONE monster phillips screw that is toward the center of the car next to the foglight on the mounting bracket,if you can get that out ,the other side is only held on with a pin so it will slide out at an angle. Then you will be able to get to the 3 screws on the bottom of the housing...unplug the harness and bring it in the house and save some frustration if you can.

My foglights....also not that easy. Those big phillips screws are rusted to my bracket so I had to unbolt the 3 10mm bolts that hold the whole housing to the frame to get it out.It probably took me an hour and a half flippin the wrench over each 16th of a turn on the bolt to get them out so I really hope yours aren't rusted.

Good luck.

its me again i have another ? do you know where i would need to spray wd40 on my pop up headlight arms because my lights dont go down they stay up and that manual knob doesnt get them to move so i believe the whole assembly is seized up so if i spray some wd40 they should go down ### i know my motor isnt broke i hear it trying to get them to go down but then it broke the arm that connects the motor to the light assembly but i believe if i spray it, it should come loose right? please help
