were you trying to prove that it would be dumb to do that? if so then you shouldn't be mad at his response because that is what you were looking for.

I saw something very similar to that on a 98 Mustang GT a few weeks ago. I asked the guy if he was planning on going with a turbo at some point. His response: " Yeah I'm getting a G16 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo"

I wanted to laugh but I thought that would be pretty mean. So I tried explaining to him why he can't use a G16, but he didn't get it.

If you need a cheap place to get pipes check out: http://store.racing-solutions.org/index.html

I got all my pipes for under $100 shipped. Road Race Engineering has some nice silicon couplers and T-bolt clamps, as well as the throttle body flange, so you can make your own throttle body elbow. You could probably get all of your pipes done for under $220 if you know how to weld or you know somebody that can weld them for you.

Thanks for the site....definatley the way im going....besides i have some of the ebay pipes...just a little flaky on using them....:dsm:

The link I gave you is for ebay pipes. The guy is on the local forum and everybody around here says he's a great guy to do business with. As for the quality of the bends, I was very impressed for what I paid. I was expecting some flaws, but everything looks perfect.

Haha, is that even beneficial in any way/shapre or form?
Also, He could have atleast ran the intake IC piping back into the engine bay to make it look normal, I'd figure the filter being in that spot wouldn't help any either.

Thats wicked funny i had never even thought about that. Could that possibly lower intake temps enough to be remotely beneficial? I would never do it but i am sorta curious. Has anyone ever done this with results? Just wondering.
