Alright, so im buying an FMIC real soon, but only the core with endtanks, im going to be making my own piping. The outlet side wont be a problem at all. My only question is the inlet side. With the direction of the compressor outlet pipe on a stock 14b facing the passenger side a tad, how do i go about making the pipe to go to the other side? If anyone has any pics it would be greatly appreciated, thanks :thumb:

You'd need a J pipe, then a 90 degree bend, and then a 180 degree bend. Let me know I have a J pipe I'd selll you that would work perfect.

ok i've wonder this for a while so i'll go ahead and say it:

the SBR 2g install kit comes with the jpipe and lower pipe that connects to the SMIC... if i were to take that and turn the lower pipe around.. i would only need a 180 bend right?

here is a pic that I made for my Evo 3 16G, since the outlet is the same as the 14b this should also work for you. I had to fabricate the part myself, it consists of a compressor outlet flange, a donut from RRE (2" diameter with a 2" radius), a piece of 2.25" exhaust piping and a 90* mandrel bend. I had to drop the pipe between the two fan supports and the turbo because I am running a side to side intercooler, I tried using the 2G j pipe but I couldn't get over to the driver side without going either: under the front to back tranny support or in the tiny space between the tranny mount, turbo and fan shroud. If you have any questions or want more pics just ask I'll be glad to help.
