I was looking at some of the previous posts about flywheels. And now I'm wondering, can an AWD flywheel fit on a FWD trans for smaller rotational mass and what not?

I really don't know if this would work just asking before I look into getting an aluminum or chromoly flywheel. And to make sure I don't get the wrong one thinking either one will work.

The ring gear on the AWD flywheel is smaller than the one on a FWD and if you use it on a FWD your starter will not grab the teeth on the ring gear and your car will not start.
