I bought my car from a complete retard and he ruined alot of things.

This car is going to have around 450whp and be a summer type of car for me (I don't need emisions etc.)

Now, I have looked at a thread one of the mods created and have a few questions.

ECUFLASH will be used to erase CEL's.
and if it can't erase the CEL, let me know so I keep it, thanks.

Here is the list of the stuff I wanna take out:

11. Auto-Cruise Control Vacuum Pump (Cruise Control Actuator)

19. Dual Pressure Switch (AC)
20. Capacitor (Noise Condenser)
27. Evaporative Purge Solenoid
28. Theft Alarm Horn
30. Turbocharger Waste Gate Solenoid Valve [Boost Control Solenoid (BCS)]
33. Evaporative Purge Solenoid to ECU Harness Connector
35. EVAP Emission Purge Control Solenoid Valve
36. Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor

also, what is 52 (Engine Speed Detection Connector) It is a blue connector thing.

Can I remove it?

I have done the same thing. Harness was all messed up so I stripped the whole thing down and redid it. Only things from your list I would keep is 20 the noise capacitor, helps to keep alternator interference out of your radio, 30 the bcs valve as I see you are fwd and this is the circuit oh would use to setup gear based boost with a gm 3 port etc. And finally I would keep the rear o2 as that's where most tap in for the wideband to log on the ecu.

I would keep a few thing for future use. If you plan on going speed density, the MDP sensor wiring is often used to tap the MAP sensor into. Depending on what kind of tuning you are going to do, the solenoid wires can also be kept to activate solenoids for other parts.

Keep the noise condenser on the intake manifold, you want that. As long as you are able to check the fuel pump via Evoscan then you will be fine removing the fuel pump check.

The hood switch is used in conjunction with the alarm.

Let me know what it's like without AC, I'm considering doing it while still being a DD.

Now for the A/C part, I bought my car when I turned 16 and the PO was missing a part and didn't have the belt.

So my eclipse never had A/C while I had it. I DD the car for the first 1 1/2 years and I can tell you in PA the weather is usually fair but sometimes in the summer with the leather seats, it kicked my ass.

But over all, this car has a different purpose than a comfort DD car so I will not put it in.


For a daily driver with some track use, I would keep it though.

To put in the MAP sensor you will need wire to reach to the ECU, so it's best to figure out which wire set you will use and just keep it there for a later purpose.

I dont have the blue connector anymore and it is not needed. The black one I don't remember seeing and I don't really care about.

the ones in bold text should be the only ones that give you CEL's. you said you are using ecu flash so i assume you have looked into Ceddy mods, yes?
 
On my ecuflash program, it says ceddy mods on it.


I got it from dsmchips like 1 1/2 years ago.

I think all that stuff is on there already.

So, out of these 8 parts which can ecuflash delete the cel?

I know it is all under the periphery bits (there are 3 pages), but which numbers?
 
that i am not sure on. i run an EVO8 ecu in my car so there is a big difference in the programing. best bet would be to start digging around in the Ceddy mod thread and see what you can find. i know there are a few posts in that thread covering the p-bits and what codes they turn off.

i know it has been suggested before, but i to will make my recommendation to at least keep the MDP and the BCS. you don't need the MDP run but keep the connector and just tuck it away some where out of sight. that way if you decide to get rid of your MAF later and run speed density you have some where to connect a MAP sensor to in the engine compartment and all the wiring will already be ran to the ECU... the BCS connector using a GM 3port even the fuel pressure solenoid as the BCS (i know it isn't the best way but i hear it does work) will come in handy especially with Ceddy mods. you can run boost limited per gear to keep the wheel spin down in first and second.
 
basically what you do is replace the factory BCS with the fuel pressure solenoid. the FPR solenoid is just a little more responsive than the factory 2 port BCS but not as good as a GM 3-port. i don’t have any pictures of mine set up at the moment i can see what i can do about getting a good pic for you of what i am talking about..
 
Do I cut the plug too, or is it a plug and play?

Snowborder714, can you please confirm this? I had the plug cut off for a long time and never had any problems and now I just wanna get rid of the wires that were sitting there. Let me know for sure if either I lucked out and my car ran or will I have serious problems.
