Well the GS has been either leaking/burning some mad oil lately..and I dont know what it is. I took it to my mechanic today (Yes, I know, I should be doing my own repairs, but im not as advanced yet), and ill find out tomorrow whats wrong. Well the deal is, if its an expensive fix ($500+ for a high school student), should I just sell and get a GST/GSX?

Heres a couple I found, just wondering if theyre any good?

1995 eclipse gsx full rebuilt 6 bolt swap

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST - 94k, Red, New motor

Again my budget is pretty tight (about $4000 and under?) since I only work part time. So thanks for any help. :hellyeah:

Hell theres even this : http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/1459598057.html Just no pics on there yet

Agreed, The GST Looks pretty clean, I guess you can't make a decision without seeing pictures of the GSX as well, You also would want to keep your goals as far as the car goes in mind.I know all about budget being a college student myself. I will say that once you drive a GST or a GSX you will be hooked. Good luck !

Well I just heard from my mechanic, if that what you even wanna call him, he said he cant even do the job, hes gonna have to get someone else to do it...apparently my rear seal is leaking oil like a LOT of oil, and they need to drop my transmission to get to it..its gonna be a $500 job at the minimum..looks like im selling it..makes me wish i knew how to work on my own car =/

hows that gst by the way? the owner stated in the ad that it has a boost leak causing it to idle surge, but he said hes in the process of finding the problem..is that a serious problem?

im very interested in going to check it out soon, i just dont wanna get screwed...i have terrible luck with cars. i got my 1st car last december (1995 camaro), im already moving onto my 3rd car haha
