I just bought my first DSM yesterday. 1993 GSX Eclipse. EVO316g, tubular O2, 2nd gen manifold, 2.5 exh no cat. I bought it with a palm so I could log, but I'm a little worried about my first log! The car still has a stock pump, but it's been re wired. Still have stock injectors and no way to tune for now. No MBC, so that's all still stock. Runs at about 9psi, and creeps to 11psi at High RPM. I'm just getting into this, but doesn't the O2 look waaaaayyyy low!!!??!?!?! I would think that's why it's knocking so bad right? Is there anything I can do before I get around to the DSMlink, 660's, and a 255 pump? (besides keep my foot out of it of course LOL . . but it's just so much faster then my diesel truck!) Take a look at the log and let me know what you think. . . (ps let me know if I'm missing any readings. . . .)

93 octane fuel,
99.6 TPS reading through the whole run
Run was done in 3rd gear. . .

Do you get those knock counts even when you're not at WOT? You should't be maxing out your knock count lugging around at 1600 rpm's. Your knock sensor might have given up the ghost.
 
I guess I just thought it would knock worse at low RPM's because it's loaded harder, is it not normal to see the higher knock count that low in the RPM range? Also what's the deal with it being lean? I can see it running out of injector up top, but why isn't the computer holding the injetion pulse longer at the lower RPM to get the a/f right? Also how come the MAFS is peaked out at only 5800? . . . Sorry to be such a newbie LOL. Thanks for the replys, I know I need the pump/injectors, but I was just wondering why the he** it was off this bad at only 9psi. Maybe the o2 is taking a crap? . . .
 
wouldn't he timing be in the upper teens if his knock sensor is ghosting...i mean if it's gone kaput then the timing should show the story..but his timing is still low and i think there's something wrong...shit i wouldn't of ran my car up to 7k rpm with my knock in the 20 at low rpms...

That's why I'm still posting in the "newbie" forum. . . LOL Actually that was the first run I did with it, so I didn't really even look at it before I tried logging it. Trust me, no more boost of any kind until I get this figured out!!!! I was thinking maybe it had a bad vacuum leak, or maybe the fuel pump is dying? . . . It pulls about 23 in/hg vacuum at idle, seems like a good # to me, so I don't think it's a vacuum leak? Maybe the stock FPR is dying? . . . thanks for the replys! Keep them coming!


Think maybe I just started the run too low, and by loading it so hard it knocked and then never recovered from the knocking? . . .
 
damn I just realized something. The readings I posted above were for the rear o2 sensor. (no cat by the way) I just looked at the log and the front o2 stay's at 3.79 volts all of the time. So am I right in thinking, the ECM thinks from the 3.79v that it's rich as hell and trying to lean the crap out of it, then once it's so lean (hence the .80v rear o2 reading) that's causing it to knock like hell, which pulls all of the timing out of it? . . . ooooh oooh ooooh, I hope I'm right!!!! LOL (also hence the 139% fuel trims?)
