First stage of tear-down

I started ripping my 7bolt apart today but right befor i started to remove the fuel rail I thought for a minute?????? Is this a good idea, I mean i know there is alot of presure in there and i really dont want to have alot of gas all over me

What should i do befor removing certain things off the engine Ive already marked all hoses and wires

Just curious cause...everyone knows the first thing you do when pulling a engine out of a DSM.....is disconnect the battery!!!

Then follow the next step in your handy "Down-loaded Repair Manual" available at a number of DSM devoted sites.

(you know....Change spark plugs ...Download procedure...Then put it in a Binder for when you are ready to do it, the binder can go where ever your DSM Broke down.)

Those are the important ones I can remember to get alot of info on DSM's!!!

Good luck....and just relieve the fuel pressure by taking off the return line at the end of the rail....after you have disconnected the battery of course...then take the fuel feed off....its not like it gets everywhere. Have a red rag handy if your cautious.
