Hello everyone this is my first post on the site. I have a 95 GSX that I am learning to drive stick on :thumb: Once I save enough money I am going to start modding it. So after alot of thought I figured as a goal I want to reach at least 300whp, and hopefully run in the 13's. I have been doing some searching and want this set up:

K&N Airfilter
Boost Controller (whats a good brand)
Boost Gauge (whats a good brand)
Dejon Tool CIP-2gB Intake Pipe
HKS SSQ BOV (vented to atmosphere)
Apex'i N1 Exhaust System
Mitsubishi EVO III Big 16G Turbo
Intercooler Piping (not sure if I need upper or lower or both)
GM MAFT (blow thru setup)

My question is... will my setup work together properly? Will it be enough to achieve my goals? Is that a good order to get everything on? I figure that setup will cost around 2K is that a good assumption? Any other input would be helpful also.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the GSX. :thumb: .as long as Ya follow the rules it is a good place for info and just to help others. Enjoy.

welcome, that setup if more than enough for 13's, but you're gonna need more fuel (pump and injectors) along with a way to control them (dsmlink of safc.)

Happy tuning

So I would be able to use the GM MAFT and the DSM together? I have never used the link before or tuned anything related to fuel, how would I go abouts learning that?

Welcome to the club of the money pits. That set up should be good for 300 hp, but fuel system would help. I havent used the dsm link i got the safc and it was pretty easy to tune, but mines also a n/t so the tunings different. :dsm:

Welcome to the board and good luck with you gsx. if your goal is 300whp you could probably save $500 and skip the dsmlink and just go with a safc an be fine, but of course if you have the money and dint mind spending it go with the link its a great product and very good. but i would get a start on tunning then take it to a shop and get it dyno tuned. but yes to get 300whp you will need some injectors and pump 550 injectors will probably suit you well and a walbro 255 pump cuz there the same price, you may perfer to get a fuel pressure regulator whale your at it just to get a little better tunning and you dint over run you stock fpr. but good luck and have fun there a blast. :dsm:

I just read that the Dejon Tool CIP-2gB Intake Pipe is for the stock turbo OMG
What intake pipe should I used for the 16g, and about the ICP do I need upper or lower or both or neither? Also would my stock clutch be reliable? Thanks Guys :thumb:

Its just 2- 45deg bends off ebay- i could have just as
easly put the filter into the stock location.

Stock clutch reliable ? yes, if all you plan on doing is driving mrs daisy :)

No I dont have the maft yet, I want to make sure that my set up is correct before I order everything, and I still have some saving up to do. I dont think I would do to well making my own intake with want I want to do.

I saw this intake on the website http://dsm.dejonpowerhouse.com/ it says for the blow through setup I need the CIP-2gM. Do I need to get the one with the BOV tube? all the tubes? or no tubes?

So this is your first post...

To answer your question about whether or not the order your chose is good or not, check the Tech Guide > Staged Upgrade Paths. You're missing some stuff on your list. To see what brands are out there, check the Parts Catalog. Your setup will work fine together. Though you should plan on adding an install kit for the 16g since you have a 95. You'll need to address your fuel system/fuel control/logger, and the intake pipe doesn't matter so much since you're going with a MAFT. Again, check the Tech Guide to learn more.

And in the future, please do not title your post like you did using a mix of capital and lower case letters ("FiRsT PoSt"). We frown on that around here in our tech forums. Use proper grammar and the Spell Check. Welcome to the site - you should learn a lot here.

I don't wanna seem like a hard ass or anything but with your current limited knowledge of our cars why would you feel the need to vent to atmosphere and require a blow though setup?

Well nothing is set in stone yet because nothing has been bought. My original thoughts were to a recirc kit and vent later on after I have reached my goals, as part of my "cosmetic goals" (97-99 conversion, paint job, stereo etc). The reason why I changed my mind is because I dont want to waste money buying something that I will probably have no use for in less than a year. Also my "limited knowledge" will become less limited as time goes on. I plan on learning alot before my upgrade, and before even buying my mods, hence the post. That way I know I going to do things right :thumb:
