I recently obtained an e316g from a fellow member on here and because im upgrading i thought i would go ahead and port my stock o2 housing and exhaust manifold... I purchased a $30 die grinder + $5(for 1yr warranty :D ROFL) and am VERY pleased with my results... This is my first port job and had no help other than reading on here but i mean theres not much to it....

On to the pics

I used these cross buffs to get a near mirror finish. Worked great, I bought a whole kit from summit. Carbide burr> 80 grit> 120 grit> Med. Cross buff> Fine cross buff.

Sorry for poopy cell phone/lighting pics.
2nd pic is my favoriteOMG

I run an external gate with 1 bar spring...my lowest boost i see is 18psi, perhaps I went a little too smooth. Luckily I've got big enough injectors to keep up.

Thanks fellas, yeah its pretty easy and fun... Nice to know i saved like $200ish from porting my o2 housing, manifold and turbo...

And honestly, for those interested in trying this for themselves, DO IT...

Bigger isn't always better. Sometimes with the bigger you go the less the amount of velocity. Not only that but you severely weaken the walls if you over do it - which tends to lead to the infamous and inevitable hair line cracks of the turbine housing.
