First PocketLOGGER Datalog... advice??

Well, the byte timing is ECU dependant, so you might never hit the maximum listed on the pocketlogger website. I was able to max out around 11 samples/second and traditionally, the 99's are said to have the best datarate. I'm guessing by you talking about the automated byte timing that you are running v2.0? If I remember correctly, v1.2 doesn't have an automated timing option.

Either way, all you can do is make really small adjustments to both inter-byte and inter-packet delay and see what happens. It's a pain in the butt and takes awhile, but hopefully you'll be able to get another sample or two per second. You might also try just decreasing one of the delays and not the other and see if that helps. Other than that, there really isn't much you can do.
