first log (newb) need advice.

i have a 98 gst. dejon tool u.i.c. hard pipe, 3" ls1 maf, maft, dejon tool intake with k/n filter set up for blow thru. got my logger, logged a little and don't really know what i'm looking for. anybody willing to let me email them some logs and give me some pointers, or is there somewhere i can look to get me the info and numbers i need?

Make sure you are getting 13-18 samples a sec. Then go out and log rpm, timing, throttle position sensor, and o2 voltage bank1. Do a 3rd gear pull (2500rpm - 7000rpm). Sync up the palm with your computer to get the log files into your computer. Then use plviewer to open it up. Choose save to .csv excel file, which will dump out the raw data in table format. Open open the .csv file in excel, and then the best thing to do is to do a "print screen" to capture the screen shot, open up paintbrush, and paste it into there. Cut out the important data parts, not the screen crap, and save it as a jpg image. Then attach that image to a post on here.
 
this is probably going to be way too big of a post, sorry in advance, i'll learn to post them better, this is my 3rd gear pull with 17psi, my maft base dial turned one click lean. let me know what you think. thanks.

looking perfect is what's weird. at 17psi with stock injectors, stock fuel pump, and my maft all turned to zero except the "base" dial that is turned one click lean (clockwise), i feel like i should be running really lean.
 
Looks like a perfect pull to me.. 17psi w/what turbo? My logs look liked that (but richer) when I have a Boost leak post MAF :D . Don't worry 2G run RICH and a T25 (if thats the case) doesn't flow enough air up top to max out the stock system. The more you lean out the Global the better timing map you'll get till you knock. What do your STFT/ LTFT's look like?

With a 2G pocketlooger? The most Sample/sec I've ever gotten is 8-9. How are you setting up the byte timing/interpacket delay to get 13-18 samples a sec.. SERIOUSLY!?
 
I dont know about you but one of the most important things to log is Knock, which it seems he didn't, i pay more attention to that than almost anything aside from o2's and timing. Just my .02
 
well, i cant log knock cause it's an obd2 car, so thanks for bringing up a painful subject, and as far as 18-19 samples per second, i dont know, i just followed the instructions, and did the byte tyming thing, and let it run over a minute with no errors, and thats what i hook up at. just lucky i guess.

We 98 guys can pull 19 samples per sec compaired to a max of about 11 for you 95ers. 98s seem to be the highest for some reason :D :thumb:
 
LOL sorry, i didnt know the 2g cars couldnt log knock, nor do i know what your talking about " samples per second " LOL, i havnt looked into 2g logs much cuz i dont own one, but plan on it, ill just go dsmlink when i get my 2g LOL, :dsm:
