Finally...No Longer Stock!

Well, after about 7 months of fixing all the bugs and getting the car in good enough shape for mods, I've recieved my first ones and am getting ready to install them tommorow. I am just curious as what to expect in gains, boost, and overall fun. Mods are as follows:

Dave Brode UICP
Crushed 1g BOV
Extreme PSI intake kit
Joe P. MBC

Its nothing extensive but its a start and being kinda a newbie I'm just looking for advice from someone with similar experiences. Thanx

my first upgrade was the same intake you chose. I LOVE it. the sound...its so sweet.
other than a free mod or two, thats all I have though. I have my defi d boost gauge in the mail though!

looking to get a mbc and a logger next (something is amiss and im hoping a logger can tell me whats up).

good slection on first mods but get a boost gauge!

Already got a boost gauge, was the first thing I did . As for the MBC, I have one listed there, its a Joe P. Anyway, glad you like the intake, I'm really looking foward to the intall. Thanx for the reply

Man I want to get my AWD bad. Well buy it tomorrow and then work on getting it running. It is going to be a beater/project.

I will definetly be doing some simple mods to it once its running,

Install should be pretty straight forwards, good for getting to know the car and such.

Just make sure you tigthen down the IC pipes so you don't have any boost leaks.

15psi should be a good safe number to run.

Those were my first mods as well. Car felt a little more responsive and sounded a lot cooler. I still use the Dave Brode intake to this day and the only reason I got rid of my UICP and 1G valve is because I got my Greddy UICP for free. Put some exhaust on it and you will have a fun car. Honestly I had more fun in my car when all I had was intake, UICP and BOV, and full exhaust than I do now. Now I have to worry about traction and breaking things.

2 step launches on the street absolutely annihilate the tires. It is quite fun to do though.

Well, just got home from the test drive after the intall and I must say...I have the biggest smile across my face The install went pretty smooth and after a quick test run I had the boost dialed in at about 14 psi. It'll spike to 16 psi for a split second then fall to 14. The car sounds awesome and the 1g BOV is way louder than the stock 2g. For every1 still with the the stock 2g BOV, don't bother wasting money on an aftermarket one, the 1g is just as good and still sounds real nice. The car definintely pulls harder and I am very pleased with the overall effect. Now, if I can only save up for a nice 3" turboback exhaust
